Resource Centre

 

The Resource Centre of Healing Our Spirit primarily supports Staff and the Education Department of the Society in their provision of HIV/AIDS education and prevention, care, treatment and support, and research and evaluation services to Aboriginal peoples throughout British Columbia.

Our Resource Centre also serves the informational needs of all people living with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS, friends, family members of affected individuals, health care professionals, caregivers, and students. The resource centre is open to the public at the Quebec Street office location in Vancouver.

The Resource Centre collection consists of over 2000 titles, including books, videos, magazines, articles, abstracts, newsletters, and professional journals. The collection seeks to reflect and support the diverse HIV/AIDS related issues facing Aboriginal communities today. We can research any subject by personal request, mail or email. We maintain a comprehensive list of AIDS Service Organizations; Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health authorities; HIV/AIDS programs and support services.
