Support Worker

The Family Support & Advocacy worker provides a number of services for Aboriginal people living with HIV/AIDS, and their families. Services are provided from the Vancouver office located at Suite 100, 2425 Quebec Street. Services are available to Aboriginal people living with HIV/AIDS in communities across BC through our toll free number 1-800-336-9726.

Services available include:

  • medical transportation
  • nutritional supplements
  • home, hospital and prison visits
  • referrals to appropriate community health services
  • hospital care packages
  • monthly luncheons
  • cultural healing programs
  • peer support counseling
  • healing circles
  • cultural workshops (basket weaving, button blanket, drum making,traditional vests etc.)
  • housing subsidies and housing advocacy
  • human rights advocacy
